aromaWIPI™

WIPI is a standard specification of Korean wireless internet platform. Aromasoft has been selected as a main organization regarding standard Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability (WIPI) promoted by Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and national standard has been established based on the original technology possessed by Aromasoft.

Aromasoft has been performing as a leader in the development of standard specification for WIPI through activities in Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum (KWISF) and Telecommunication Technology Association. In addition, WIPI is growing even more mature as foreign enterprises are participating in WIPI standardization committee, and based on it we are strengthening foundation for globalization beyond just for Korean region.

Aromasoft is a company possessing original technology of WIPI and willing continue to support wireless internet requirements of mobile communication enterprises, and is planning to perform a tangible role on development of contents for mobile enterprises by transplanting scalable technology of wireless internet solution companies. In addition, since WIPI porting of manufacturers are being processed mainly around consulting tasks and verification services, we are planning to focus on them throughout our future.

WIPI 1.0 started in 2002 and standardization of WIPI v2.1 has been completed in August, 2006. As of 2007, operations for establishment of WIPI specification for next generation are in progress.

Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum (KWISF) has been introducing WIPI and holding promotional activities to standardization organizations such as OMA (Open Mobile Alliance), 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) as well as Chinese government, mobile communication companies, and press, etc., officially selected JavaMe specification of Sun Microsystem from WIPI v2.0, and signed Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation with Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum and on overseas market

  • Possession of original technology regarding wireless internet standard platform

    We have been selected as Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability (WIPI) company promoted by Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and national standard has been established based on the original technology possessed by Aromasoft.
    We have been performing a leading role on the development of WIPI specification through activities in Korea Wireless Internet Standardization Forum and Korea Telecommunications Technology Association until present.

  • Ability to cope with new service through integrated solution regarding middleware

    Besides platform technology, we are possessing essential solutions suitable for specialized wireless internet environments such as 3D graphic, SVG, Bluetooth, etc., and are able to provide additional solutions which can be applied towards requirements of various wireless internet environments.

  • Possession of leading WIPI technology for next generation

    We have completed development of WIPI engine technology for next generation which have overcome the limitation of present WIPI engine, and are going to continuously lead development of WIPI specification for next generation based on it.

  • Possession of both Java and C affiliated platforms

    WIPI platform has been designed to support both Java affiliated platform and C affiliated platform, in accordance with development language for the contents.
    Armasoft has been developed WIPI C based on its development experience on real-time operation system for the embedded, and developed WIPI Java based on the development environment of Mtea. Aromasoft is the only one in the world as far as realizing platform with one engine for both Java and C platform is concerned.
