TAC ™(Tea
Acceleration Compiler)
TAC is an out of
device compiler that generates machine code from Java byte code. It
highly optimizes code for both size and speed to meet the requirements
of processor speed and memory space constrained devices. TAC is
provided to device manufacturers as a tool for compiling Java classes
to be embedded in their devices¡¯ code area, and to wireless carriers
as a plug-in for the application provisioning server, where the
applications are compiled to re-loacatable binary code before
downloaded to the requesting device. The resulting binary code from
TAC keeps all Java language semantics and the run time security
features intact. TAC is a complementary product to mTea, and thus
provided to mTea licensees.
